Our mission

RECOVER Foundation was established for the love of children with congenital defects
and to offer assistance of different kind to the parents of “cardiac kids”.

RECOVER foundation was founded in 2017 by prof. Joanna Dangel and her daughter Katarzyna Kozera.

Prof. Joanna Dangel is a world-famous pediatric cardiologist who built prenatal cardiology in Poland from scratch. She set up and developed the Agatowa US Clinic, which is the biggest referral center for fetal cardiology in the country and where more than 400 new cardiac fetal anomalies are diagnosed yearly. Since September 2017 she has been the Head of the Department of Perinatal Cardiology and Congenital Anomalies of the Center of Postgraduate Medical Education.
She loves teaching, so she has been conducting many courses, seminars and lectures for physicians and students. Apart from her family, she gave her heart to children with congenital heart diseases and their parents.

Katarzyna Kozera is an ostheopatist and physiotherapist. She has been involved in projects which promote physical activity among children with congenital heart diseases since she was a student. She has worked as a manager of successful courses and workshops for many years.
